This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to work as an Audit Semi Senior where you will work on audit assignments, as well as having responsibility for the preparation of accounts and the associated tax work for limited companies, LLP’s and partnerships.

The ideal person for the role will have at least 3 years’ experience of working in a varied practice role which would have included planning, performing and completing numerous audit assignments. You may be AAT Qualified and looking to begin your ACA / ACCA studies or, may have commenced your ACA / ACCA studies already. We will support you to continue these studies by providing study leave and covering the course and exam fees.

Your responsibilities and duties will include: –

  • Assisting in the preparation of the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
  • Take an active part in the audit planning and field work
  • Complete all aspects of audit fieldwork from start to completion and manage others to do the same
  • Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
  • 30-40% of the time will involve preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns

Our trainee audit and accounts position would suit an intelligent and proactive A level student or graduate with excellent communication skills.

This is a trainee role and includes training towards the professional qualifications of AAT after a probationary period, with the prospect of continuing these studies to ACA or ACCA.

The role is within our Audit and Assurance team and will involve learning all aspects of Financial Accounts Preparation; Corporate Tax, and Statutory Audit, across a very broad range of clients and will also include administrative support for the team; and eventually liaising with clients over the phone, by email and by letter.

In order to be considered for this role you will have at least three A Levels, C or above (excluding general studies), and including A Level Maths. If a graduate applicant, you will also have achieved a 2.1 or above in your degree. Overall a strong mathematical academic background including excellent GCSE grades is essential, together with an interest in Business, and the desire to begin a career in practice. A full UK driving licence together with your own transport is an advantage.

Our trainee tax position would suit an intelligent and proactive A level student or graduate with excellent communication skills.

This is a trainee role and includes training towards professional qualifications after a probationary period. The role is within our Tax team and will involve learning all aspects of Private Client Tax and Corporate Tax, across a very broad range of clients. This role will include training towards completion of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts; completion of self-employed accounts; completion of corporation tax returns for companies; completion of other tax compliance tasks such as forms P11D and ATED returns; supporting senior members of the tax team with ad-hoc tax compliance and advisory projects; administrative support for the tax team; and eventually liaising with clients and HMRC over the phone, by email and by letter.

In order to be considered for this role you will have at least three A Levels, C or above (excluding general studies), and including A Level Maths. If a graduate applicant, you will also have achieved a 2.1 or above in your degree. Overall a strong mathematical academic background including excellent GCSE grades is essential, together with an interest in Business and Tax, and the desire to begin a career in practice.
