For MGI Worldwide, collaboration and global connections are a vital part of what we do and we are incredibly proud of our global network.
Jonathan Farrow, a partner at MGI Worldwide, recently embarked on a series of international trips that exemplified this collaborative spirit.
His journey took him to Prague, Bangkok, and Belgrade, each visit strengthening bonds and enhancing mutual understanding within the global accounting community.
Prague: The Central Circle Meeting
Jonathan, alongside Partner, Sarah Squires, attended the 2023 Central Circle Meeting in Prague.
This gathering was a melting pot of ideas, focusing on cutting-edge topics such as automation, digitalisation, robotics, and AI.
More importantly, it provided a platform to thank colleagues for their invaluable assistance and referrals.
The social aspect of the meeting was equally enriching, as delegates had the chance to network and explore the historic Strahov Library, followed by a dive into Prague’s exquisite cuisine and beer.
The event, hosted by LTA TAX, was a vivid reminder of the importance of building and nurturing relationships within the MGI network.
Bangkok: The MGI Worldwide Global AGM
Jonathan’s next stop was the vibrant city of Bangkok for the 2023 MGI Worldwide Global AGM.
Over 110 delegates from around the globe converged to reconnect and share their knowledge and experiences.
The AGM was infused with a strong Thai essence, featuring activities like Tai Chi, Thai dancing, and breathtaking views over the city and Chau Phraya River.
This event was not only a professional gathering but also a celebration of the rich and diverse MGI Worldwide community.
A highlight for Jonathan was MGI Midgley Snelling LLP receiving the ’75 Years of Membership Award’, marking a proud moment in the firm’s history.
Belgrade: A visit to MGI Dva Dukata
The final leg of Jonathan’s journey was in Belgrade, Serbia, where he visited the partners and staff of MGI Dva Dukata.
His visit was met with a warm welcome and provided an opportunity to catch up with Serbian associates.
This visit underscored the personal connections that underpin successful international collaborations.
The power of global collaboration
Jonathan’s travels are a testament to the power of global collaboration in the accounting profession.
By forging strong relationships and sharing knowledge across borders, accounting professionals like Jonathan and his colleagues can offer more comprehensive support to their clients worldwide.
These trips not only nurtured existing relationships but also paved the way for future collaborations, demonstrating the dynamic and interconnected nature of the global accounting community.
