Tony has worked in tax for more years than he cares to remember and over that time has built up a wealth of knowledge that has been invaluable to our clients. He spends a lot of his time on tax planning for private clients and corporate tax planning for SMEs.
Many SMEs are also OMBs which have a broad range of tax needs that Tony is skilled at assisting with, including succession planning and other capital tax planning. Tony’s expertise has also been invaluable to our high net worth clients in tax planning their affairs where there can be mixed and varied sources of income and assets based in the UK and abroad.
Having spent many years acting for large multinational clients, he has particular experience in dealing with foreign nationals working in the UK on tax equalised packages and UK nationals seconded overseas. Tax planning for non UK domiciled individuals is also an area where Tony has much experience.
As HM Revenue & Customs spend ever more resources on investigating taxpayer’s affairs, Tony has also gained substantial experience in assisting both corporate and personal clients who have had the misfortune to be selected for enquiry.
Outside work, Tony is a keen swimmer and although a rugby and football enthusiast, these interests are followed strictly from the stands or the comfort of an armchair. When time allows he also enjoys coarse and fly fishing, preferably pike fishing from a boat on Loch Lomond or the Thames.
