Exciting upcoming travels for MGI’s international accountants

For MGI Worldwide, collaboration and global connections are a vital part of what we do, and we are incredibly proud of our global network.

This year a few of our partners are going to be traveling across the globe, from Europe to Africa, to expand their networks.

Rome: The MGI Worldwide Global AGM

Jonathan Farrow, Sarah Squires and Tracey Wickens, partners at MGI Midgley Snelling LLP, are set to attend the MGI Worldwide Global AGM later this year.

We’ve got an amazing line-up of cultural and social activities, along with some once-in-a-lifetime experiences planned for this year’s event. It’s all about making great memories and bringing MGI friends and colleagues even closer together.

This year the AGM is taking place in Rome, Italy, from 23 October to 26 October.

Jonathan and Sarah attended last year’s event which was held in the vibrant city of Bangkok, where over 110 delegates from around the globe converged to reconnect and share their knowledge and experiences.

The AGM in Rome will be introducing a special focus on AI, where we will be exploring technology and beyond. We want to build synergy between our people and AI to create success.

This event will not only be a professional gathering but also a celebration of the rich and diverse MGI Worldwide community.

South Africa: African Region meeting

Tracey Wickens will also be attending the African Region meeting from 20 November to 21 November.

This year the meeting will be held near Johannesburg in South Africa.

The African Region meeting is an important event for us, as it brings together member firms with a common background to meet and provide opportunities for the exchange of Africa-centric ideas and information about members’ respective firms, experiences, cultures and businesses.

More information about this meeting will follow closer to the event date.

Academy Meetings

We have two upcoming Academy Meetings that Tom Ward and Kelly Naude, Senior Auditors, will be attending.

The first meeting, ‘Mentoring and Motivating – Coaching Skills’, is scheduled for 3 September, followed by the second meeting,  ‘Actions Review Session’, on 4 November.

These sessions are designed to enhance the essential managerial skills of the attendees. Senior staff within the audit and accounts team will have the opportunity to network and collaborate with peers.

The power of global collaboration

The travels of our partners are a testament to the power of global collaboration in the accounting profession.

By forging strong relationships and sharing knowledge across borders, accounting professionals like Jonathan, Tracey, Sarah and their colleagues can offer more comprehensive support to their clients worldwide.

These trips not only strengthen existing relationships but also lay the foundation for future collaborations, demonstrating the dynamic and interconnected nature of the global accounting community.
